The work is based on Flowers and Birds in Four Seasons created by the famous court painter Lv Ji in the Ming Dynasty. The original work is composed of four joint screens. Featuring bright coloring and delicate depictions, the natural scenery of flowers and birds in four seasons are vividly represented. It is recognized as the best masterpiece of Lv Ji. The joint screens were once collected by Japanese notables and have become part of the collection at Tokyo National Museum.
