Last Spring (six panels)

Fang Laidong acquired traditional Chinese ink painting training before he pursued lacquer art at the university.  It is natural for him to use ink and brush techniques, integrating aspects of the lacquer art when he creates these paintings. He applies layers of lacquer to produce beautiful accumulations of dried pigments that appear sculptural and marbled.
