"Banshiu (万糸雨) means spring rain, like hanging countless soft threads. During the Edo period, the Ukiyo-e art form often depicted rain and was often drawn with thin lines. Today, we can know how artists in the past expressed rainfall through their artworks. And those classical artworks inspired me to create this lacquer art."
