Sunrise Lacquer Art was established in 2014 with a commitment to nurturing craftmanship. This atelier emphasizes meticulous attention to detail while embracing the challenges of innovation. As one of the few professional lacquer ateliers in Taipei, it utilizes natural lacquer - sap harvested from lacquer trees - to create its unique pieces. Focused on producing small, exquisite batches, the atelier skilfully blends various traditional techniques, promoting the lacquer art industry.
The exhibition titled "The Luster of Time" showcases the diverse creative expressions of three primary members: Chen Ming-zong, Lin Yu-ju, and Tsai Yu-zheng. Each artist explores distinct forms using traditional lacquer methodologies. Featured works include, lacquerware, two-dimensional paintings, sculptures, objects, and decorative panels, highlighting the richness of contemporary Taiwanese lacquer art. The exhibition title echoes their exploration of time as a medium, where layered lacquer reveals unique hues and luster, fostering depth and spirituality.
Notable pieces include Chen Ming-zong's contemporary lacquerware, crafted using techniques such as dry lacquer and bamboo weaving. Lin Yu-ju's lacquer paintings delve into the dialogue between tradition and innovation, while Tsai Yu-zheng's inlays of mother-of-pearl showcase a captivating lustre and beauty.
日初漆藝 於2014年成立，以日日初心為宗旨，對工藝重視細節與挑戰求新，是目前台北少有的專業漆工坊，使用取掘於大自然漆樹的樹液 - 生漆來塗裝器物，一直以少量精緻的方式製作漆器，綜合多種傳統漆藝技術施展於小小的器皿之中，致力於推廣傳統漆工藝產業。
今次《時間的光澤》展覽由日初漆藝三位主要成員陳明宗、林祐如及蔡雨錚透過傳統生漆媒材發展出不同的創作形式:漆器、平面漆畫、雕塑、道具、飾板等作品，展現臺灣當代漆藝的面象。展名呼應他們以時間為媒介，層層堆疊的塗膜，顯現獨有色調與光澤，形塑豐厚的深度與精神性。展覽內容呈現日初漆藝最新的漆藝創作，亮點計有陳明宗的漆器作品，以乾漆、竹編、多元形態的造型媒材呈現漆器的當代樣態。林祐如的漆畫作品，以漆畫回應傳統與創新的框架之間的關係。蔡雨錚的螺鈿漆藝作品，以材質顯現漆藝的光澤和美學。

「漆」彩導賞體驗通行証 - 由日初漆藝成員親自帶領您在六小時內，沉浸在漆藝的世界裏，從欣賞展覽、認識漆藝、至親手體驗製作的過程，專業解答您在漆藝上的Q&A。
展覽：

漆藝體驗：
金光流轉的片刻 —— 沈金技法體驗
沈金 - 源自漆藝的古老技法，刀鋒的刻痕與黃金的光澤交織在一起。
邀請你走進漆藝沈金體驗，老師將會帶領大家完成一件屬於自己的作品；牡丹的華麗、蓮花的清雅、梅花的堅韌、菊花的靜美，每一種花朵都承載著不同的寓意。當握起沈金刀，在漆板上刻劃線條，聆聽刀尖與木板的低語，最後鋪上色粉或填入金粉，花朵在金光中綻放，像是時間留下的溫柔印記。
