LIN Yu-Ju 林祐如 (b. 1985 Taipei, Taiwan) centers her artistic practice on Urushi (natural lacquer), integrating painterly language with craft techniques to explore the poetic resonance of natural materials. Her lacquer works often incorporate natural lacquer, gold leaf, shell inlay, and layered finishes to construct visual spaces rooted in Eastern colour aesthetics. Thematically, her work focuses on "landscapes of memory," spanning mountain terrains, oceanic islands, and cosmic phenomena. Through optical illusions of light and shadow and the tension of abstraction, she evokes sensory memory and connections to time.

Since 2013, she has devoted herself to lacquer painting. Her works have been selected fo the International Triennale of KOGEI in Kanazawa, Japan; awarded First Prize in the "Composition Taiwan" Visual Arts Competition by the O-Bank Education Foundation and commissioned to create a painted Fazioli piano. In recent years, she has participated major art fairs such as Art Taipei.

Lin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Crafts & Design from the National Taiwan University of Arts and is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Art at the Taipei National University of the Arts.
